Q: Can I bring alcohol to the festival?
A: Unfortunately the local authorities will no longer allow our audience to bring in their own supplies. Alcohol is a restricted product sold under license and we have been duty bound by the local council to prevent alcohol from coming into the festival site.
Q: What steps have been put in place to reduce queuing time to enter the event?
A: We have a range of improvements to alleviate time spent queuing, including an additional wider entrance and further queuing lanes. There will also be more ticket checkers, more wristband exchange staff and we have redesigned the wristband to speed things up.
Q: Will I be able to get cash out on the festival site?
A: Yes, there will be several ATM machines throughout the festival site, campsite and at the box offices but we do advise that you come prepared. Although every effort is made to keep the cash points stocked the sheer volume of people using them can sometimes prohibit this.
Q: Is there any disabled access?
A: The whole site is completely accessible to disabled customers. In addition, there will be a viewing platform at the Main Stage for wheelchair users. To receive tickets for this area, please call 01789 730558 at least 10 days prior to the event.
Q: Will there be more walkways at Global Gathering this year?
A: There will be more paths and roadway on-site this year, and we’re in discussion with the landowners to identify were extra walkways can be created without interfering with the everyday working of the site.
Q: Will there be anywhere to sit down at Global Gathering?
A: There will be a chill-out area with cover on-site in the event area.
Q: Where can I get breakfast if I camp at Global?
A: There will be a breakfast bar in the campsite.
Q: Will there be more Toilets this year?
A: We always over-supply. Numbers are governed by existing guidelines and levels checked by licensing officers against the numbers of toilets that we agree to supply.
Q: What happens if I have problems with security at GlobalGathering?
A: We employ hundreds of security throughout the festival site. Those in key positions and undertaking certain functions are required to be licensed. Most have training of some kind and all licensed staff has a badge number, which must be displayed.
While we can’t guarantee the experience or user-friendliness of every guard, our event security comes from experienced suppliers, for instance the campsite security company run campsites for a number of festivals). Should you have a problem with any specific security guard then please report their number to event staff.
Q: I want to travel by rail to the festival, what is the nearest Station?
A: Stratford Upon Avon is the nearest station. Shuttle busses will run between the station and the festival site all weekend.
Q: Is car parking available on the site?
A: There is extensive security patrolled parking on site. Car parking is FREE to everyone visiting the festival. Why not help save your wallet and the environment by sharing cars with like-minded festivalgoers. www.liftshare.org/default.asp?sub=176
Q: I am travelling by train, how do I get to the event from the station?
A: There will be a shuttle bus service running regularly throughout both days of the event from Stratford Upon Avon train station to the site. There is also a taxi rank at the station and the festival site.

Q: I want to stay but don’t want to camp, are there any hotels near by?

A: For further information please contact: contact@globalgathering.co.uk or call the 24hr Information Line – 0845 009 8885
Camping FAQ’s:
Q: How can I camp?
A: Camping is FREE but is only permitted by purchasing a weekend ticket. All single day Saturday ticket holders are forbidden to camp at the event. People found without camping tickets will be removed.
Q: Are there any restrictions on tent size?
A: Whilst we do not enforce a restriction we would advise you that you bring a tent sized to the amount of people who will use it. The larger the tent the more difficult it will be to find a pitch although our campsite marshals will endeavour to help you.
Q: Where do I pick up my camping wristband?
A: Wristband exchange is situated at the entrance to the campsite, which will be
clearly signposted.
Q: Is there a separate camping area for VIP ticket holders?
A: VIP Weekend ticket holders will able to camp in a separate campsite adjacent to the VIP Arena and next to the Main Stage. Visit: www.globalgathering.co.uk/2009/tickets for a full list of camping options. Further to this we also offer a number of exclusive Cloud9 camping packages including Caravans and PodPads. For further information on these packages please visit: www.globalgathering.co.uk/2009/cloud9 or call the Hotline on 0207 009 3484.
Q: I have booked a PodPad, do these have a separate area?
A: All Pod Pads will be situated in their own area with separate facilities as part of our Cloud9 packages. For further information please visit: www.globalgathering.co.uk/2009/cloud9 or call the Hotline on 0207 009 3484.
Q: I have a campervan/caravan. Will I be able to take this in to the campsite?
A: Motor homes and caravans will only be allowed on site should you purchase a Cloud9 package. For further information please visit: www.globalgathering.co.uk/2009/cloud9 or call the Hotline on 0207 009 3484.
Q: How far are the campsites from the arena?
A: Due to the large scale of Global Gathering there are various colour-coded campsites positioned outside of the main event arena. At the nearest point your tent could be positioned 20 metres from the main arena although the later you arrive the more likely you are to be positioned further away. As always arriving to the site early is the best way to secure a great position. The separate campsite for VIP ticket holders is situated adjacent to the VIP arena, which is inside the main event arena.
Q: Is there any entertainment in the campsites?
A: The campsite will have a number of fairground rides and many further activities to keep you entertained whilst you wait for the music to start again.
Q: What facilities will there be on the campsite?
A: Camping will include: Running Water, Toilets, Hot Showers, General Store, Camping Supply Shop, Food Outlets and Bars.
Q: How long am I able to stay at the campsite after the festival?
A: We encourage people to sleep before making any journeys so you will be able to stay in the campsite until Sunday afternoon at 15.00.
Q: Is the campsite safe?
A: There will be plenty of camping stewards and also undercover security teams on site as well as fire safety officers. Strict searches will also be in operation on arrival at the campsite. We recommend that you don’t leave valuables in your tent but instead use the lockers available in the campsite and the arena.
Ticket FAQ’s:
Q: Are there any age restrictions?
A: The festival is licensed for people of 18 years or older. Identification will be required and under 18”s will be refused entry.

stores.
Q: What benefits are there in purchasing a VIP ticket?
A: Admission to the VIP Areas on the relevant days. Access to the exclusive Golden Circle area in front of the main stage giving VIP ticket holders the best view of all the action. VIP ticket holders will have a separate entrance making entry into the festival quicker. They will also receive access to the VIP car park and enjoy a separate campsite from General Admission ticket holders.
Q: I am unable to attend but have already bought my ticket. Can I get a refund?
A: Unfortunately Global Gathering does not offer any refunds on tickets.

A: All conditions of purchase can be viewed by clicking here.
