SOULHEAVEN RETURNS TO IBIZA – Louie Vega & Friends
Sunday June 8th saw the opening Party of Louie Vega & friends at Eldivino.
It was cold, The parade was rained off, The sun did not shine but last sunday something truly unique took place at what was definately the coolest spot to be seen at in Ibiza. Louie played an electric set & the crowd responded by not moving from the dance floor all night. Friends were spotted from all over Europe and press & party people all got down together & commented that they had not heard music like this on the island before Louie was supported in style by Soulheaven resident Neil Pierce with Pa’s from The Vega records stable of the charismatic Mr V & beautiful singer Anane plus the melodic beats on percussion from Papo Swing house of rhumba. Clubbers departed in the early hours with a free promo cd especially made by Louie & everyone knew they were part of something that promises to be a very special season on the island.
To feature Grammy Award-winning DJ-Producer and Vega Records chief Louie Vega as exclusive resident, the weekly event at El Divino will feature appearances by some of House music’s most celebrated names. Soul Heaven international residents Andy Ward, Neil Pierce and Phil Asher will all appear throughout the summer, while Louie Vega will present a collection of artists from his own lauded Vega Records imprint including New York’s own Mr. V, beautiful vocalist Anané, percussionist Luisito Quintero and additional musicians from Vega’s own Elements of Life collective.
Amazingly, this will be Louie Vega’s FIRST EVER Ibiza residency. After 23 years El Divino will now host the original Master At Work each Sunday, and the legendary DJ-Producer promises to offer the glamorous and up-for-it international Sunday night party crowd an experience they will never forget. To feature an inclusive, friendly party vibe coupled with a truly diverse musical roster from week to week, Louie Vega & Friends at El Divino will embody the spirit of the Soul Heaven brand, in addition to that of Louie Vega’s own Roots night at Cielo in New York, Dance Ritual and the now infamous MAW parties and NYC Nuyorican Soul Jam Sessions of yesteryear.
Sunday June 8th Opening Party join Louie Vega ands friends Mr V (“Da Bump” and “Put Your Drink Down”) and Anane (“Shake It” “Walking On Thin Ice”). To get everyone in the mood early on Sunday, Louie Vega will be LIVE on Ibiza Global Radio each week from 7:00pm-8:00pm, just before Soul Heaven host their weekly pre-party from 9:00pm to 11:00pm at San Antonio’s picturesque Savannah. Fans will have the chance to get up close and personal with Louie Vega as he and special guests lay down a taste of what’s to come as the sun comes down on another beautiful day in Ibiza. As the main event heats up at El Divino meanwhile, live impromptu performances by surprise guests will have crowds booth designed by Louie Vega and Ralph Muniz will give fans the feel of a classic Louie Vega event and promises to have crowds dancing all night long.
Ibiza is a natural next destination for the Soul Heaven brand, which is now almost-universally respected as one of the world’s premier soulful House brands.
