The group released the critically acclaimed album “The Listening”, which received 4 mics in Source Magazine.

“Hip-Hop is the voice of at least 2 generations. At one time, it was the POSITIVE voice, as stated earlier. Chuck D was the black history teacher I never had, along with countless other black Americans my age. It can be that again, but with the right voices and the right players. As the late Curtis Mayfield said, “We must educate and Well as Entertain.”
PMD from EPMD
PMD, Parish Smith (aka the Mic Doctor of the classic hip-hop group EPMD), has been traveling on a long road of rocking mics, releasing records, and keeping his mind on business. From classic EPMD tracks like “It’s My Thing,” “Gold digger”, “Crossover,” to “You Gots To Chill”, PMD has dropped legendary verses and flows all throughout hip-hop history. PMD’s smooth, mellow voice along with his rugged style and b-boy attitude make him one of the most well respected old school hip-hop legends of today. The classic EPMD album “Strictly Business” had deep funky jams and a strong attitude. Other incredible EPMD albums like “Business Never Personal” and “Unfinished Business” were constant favorites of crowds, DJ’s, and fans. With his partner Erick Sermon (The Green Eyed Bandit), EPMD formed Hit Squad. One of the first hip-hop squads, The Hit Squad gave birth to now legendary emcees like Redman, Das Efx, and K-Solo.

Statik Selektah was introduced to music at a young age, experimenting with his parents eight-track machine, cassette recorders, and turntable.[1] By middle school, he was already DJing school functions, but he was inspired to be a true wheels-of-steel artiste after hearing DJ Premier & Funkmaster Flex scratch and mix records on Hot 97fm in New York City.[2] Statik began doing radio at Phillips Exeter Academy’s WPEA, where he also occasionally DJ’ ed some of the Afro-Latino Society Parties.[3] Naming himself DJ Statik, (the “Selektah” came later after hearing a local reggae artist say it unconsciously [3]) he began to start to DJ at clubs and private parties up and down the New England Coast. In 2000, Selektah moved back to Massachusetts from New Hampshire to pursue an audio production degree at Boston’s New England Institute of Art. Around this time, Statik started to put out his own mixtapes titled “Spell My Name Right” series.
Boogie Black
If there is a list in hip-hop for the “Most Known Unknown” people in the industry, Boogie Black has to be in the Top 10. Born in Hollis and raised in Jamaica Queens he has been involved with music since the age of 9. Boogie Black got his start as a DJ at the age of 13, and with his tricky scratching and flashy spinning he has made significant strides in the industry over the years and is ready for the next level! During the late 80’s and early 90’s Boogie Black gained notice by dj-ing at the most elite parties on the Queens circuit. He caught his first break spinning records at the Q-Club & Crystals (Mercedes) in Queens with Grandmaster Vic. In 1995 Henchmen Entertainment (founded by Czar Entertainment music mogul James “Henchmen” Rosemond) managed Boogie Black’s career.
