Just passin’ along a plugger. Any Deep House on the menu? We would love to know more…
The following description is directly from their site: The Sideline is a 7,500 square foot specialty sports-themed restaurant owned by LaVar Arrington. This is not your typical ‘sports bar’ by any stretch of the imagination. The Sideline Experience is a celebration of ‘SPORT’ expressed in art, memorabilia, technology, decor, the best in service, food and beverage. We offer several highly visible advertising opportunities throughout the restaurant. What this means for you as an advertiser is that you have a variety of options in which to reach your target audience.
LaVar Arrington was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 30, 1978. He began his football career at North Hills Senior High School in Pittsburgh. Moved into a starting spot as a freshman and never looked back helping lead North Hills to a State Championship that year. After a terrific senior year playing running back and linebacker, LaVar committed to play college football at Penn State, Turning down offers from North Carolina, Georgetown and UMass to play college basketball.
LaVar played sparingly as a true freshman at Penn State in 1997. Named a starter in the second game of the 1998 season, He turned in a fantastic sophomore season and earned first team All American Honors. During a game against Illinois in 98′, He pulled off the now famous “LaVar Leap”. He anticipated the snap and dove over the Illinois offensive line to tackle Elmer Hickman for a loss on fourth-and-one. In 1999 LaVar turned in a great junior season, once again earning first team All-American honors.
Following the 1999 season, LaVar declared for the 2000 NFL Draft and was selected #2 over all by the Washington Redskins. Arrington played six seasons in the NFL, earning All Pro-Bowler honors three times. LaVar has since retired from the NFL after suffering serious injuries in motorcycle accident outside of Washington DC back in June 2007.
LaVar currently resides in Maryland with his wife and four children. In addition to overseeing the operations of The Sideline, he currently appears on Comcast SportsNet’s Washington Redskins NFL post game show and the Redskins pre-game kickoff show.
