Fri, 5/14 | SAN FRANCISCO PROM | Julia Morgan Ballroom | Charity for Teenage Girls w/o Prom Dresses – San Francisco, Ca

Who said PROM was just for kids?
Want to relive your “Age of Innocence” all over again?
Did you never get to go to PROM?
Did you think your PROM DAYS were over?
THINK AGAIN.
They’ve only just begun…

Leave it to the creative masterminds of DONOVANSF, one of San Francisco’s leading theme event production companies to conceive of the 1st Annual SAN FRANCISCO PROM for adults. And this no high school prank, this a very serious “formal” charity event destined to become a new annual San Francisco tradition in leagues with the legendary “BLACK & WHITE BALL”. And what better cause to support than raising money for teenage girls who can’t afford to buy a prom dress so they can go to their high school prom? A portion of all proceeds will go to THE PRINCESS PROJECT (www.princessproject.org).

It’s time to find a Prom Date… Again.

Have your boyfriend, have your husband, or have that “hopeful somebody” ask you to the Prom.

About Julia Morgan Ballroom
at the Merchants Exchange Building
Located in the heart of San Francisco’s financial district, , right on the historic California Street Cable Car line, the Julia Morgan Ballroom at the Merchants Exchange is a historic gem and has been a center for the City’s civic, economic, political, and cultural life for over 100 years. Built in 1904, the Merchants Exchange is one of very few buildings to survive the Great Earthquake and Fire of 1906 in San Francisco. After the disaster, the Merchants Exchange came to serve as both a symbol of hope and a practical example of the City’s remarkable rebirth. The building’s distinctive architecture, history of notable inhabitants, and ideal location have resulted in making it a prominent landmark. The barrel-vaulted lobby sparkles with gold leaf, bronze, and marble. The 15th Floor, which houses the grand Ballroom, Lounge, Bar, and anterooms, was recently refurbished. A stunning Deco foyer greets you, before a 27-foot curved mahogany bar in the Lounge sweeps you towards the majestic Ballroom, which is 4,300 square feet of pure elegance. Light flows in through a wall of floor-to-ceiling arched windows, overhead is a honeycombed ceiling of mahogany octagonals, and a 20-foot palatial fireplace commands the southern wall.
