special guest Ital Tek (Planet Mu, Atom River)
Ital Tek is 23 year old Alan Myson from Brighton. Since bursting onto the Dubstep scene in 2007 with his Blood Line EP (Planet Mu Records) he has gone on to enjoy success with constant international touring, and has garnered a legion of fans. Alan has carved his own niche with references to 90’s Electronica, Hip Hop and Techno blended masterfully to create his own style of hard hitting and melodic bass music.

2008 saw the release of his debut album “Cyclical” also on Planet Mu. The record further showcased Alan’s musical and production skills and brought about worldwide attention. This led to an invitation from Mary Anne Hobbs to perform a guest mix for her BBC Radio 1 show and he would later write the track “Archaic” to open her “Evangeline” compilation album highlighting the best of underground bass music. The album went on to be one of the highest selling Dubstep records of the year.

In 2009 Planet Mu released the “Massive Error EP” which brought together a more dance floor oriented sound with hints of grime, techno and classic IDM. Alan has been booked to play at countless club nights and festivals over the past few years including Bloc and Glade. The Guardian newspaper hailed Alan’s set at Glade Festival asone of their highlights of the festival.

Later that year he also launched his own label Atom River with the releases “Mako” and “Spectrum Falls”. The latter was selected by Techno legend Surgeon to feature on the Fabric53 Mix album.

In June 2010 Ital Tek released his second full length album on Planet Mu entitled “Midnight Colour”. The record was met with widespread acclaim from publications such as NME, The Wire, DJMag and many others. The album prompted DJ support on BBC Radio 1, numerous remix requests and further national and international live dates. Ital Tek has gained respect as one of the most exciting and forward thinking producers today, and continues to cement his position as one of the forerunners of the UK underground scene.

BRAILLE (Casette / Percussion Lab | NYC) Praveen Sharma has been making music for most of his life, and has contributed releases to AI, Neo Ouija, and Expanding Records. He also runs Percussion Lab, a hub for underground electronic music and exclusive DJ sets, in addition to being an avid live performer and event organizer in New York City. Praveen released his debut Backed by Spirits on the now-defunct Neo Ouija imprint in early 2005. Not long after, Praveen returned from a profound journey through his family’s native India with a minidisk full of field recordings and voices, forming the basis of Song Spun Simla, his second album released with Benoit Pioulard. His most recent work with Machinedrum under the alias Sepalcure has garnered international acclaim and a solid string of releases thru the infamous Hotflush label headed by Scuba. Their mix of Tribal Dub, House and Two-Step beats works equally well for both late nights in the club and rainy, introspective nights at home. Detroit Techno chords cut through wooden beats, neon synths and dubbed out atmospherics, leading the always looking for the next thing music press to coin the term “Love Step” to describe Sepalcure’s effect.
