After a skyrocketing 2008 for DEADMAU5, this year is already off to a soaring start for the electronic superstar producer. This past weekend he took home the Canadian Juno Award for “Dance Recording Of The Year” for his 2008 debut album Random Album Title (Ultra Records) and was crowned the “Best Break-Through DJ” at the 24th annual International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) held last week in Miami during the Winter Music Conference. DEADMAU5’s wins at the Juno Awards and the IDMA’s further solidify his stature as the fastest rising star in star in the electronic circuit. Earlier this year, DEADMAU5 was also nominated for a Grammy Award for his remix of producer Morgan Page’s “The Longest Road” in the “Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical” category.

Still known for delivering one of the greatest live electronic performances of 2008 at the groundbreaking HARD Haunted Mansion this past Halloween night in Los Angeles, DEADMAU5 has been tapped to headline the next installment of the HARD Presents live events series slated for May 22 at the newly renovated Hollywood Palladium.
