Join us this New Year’s Eve when EGG will be transformed into a scene from Rio on New Years Eve. Rio de Janeiro is globally renowned as one of the most breathtaking, exuberant and thrilling places you could possibly imagine celebrating on New Year’s Eve. Everyone dresses to impress in fabulous whites, and the whole city crackles excitedly around the carnival atmosphere. We hope you can join us with your party friends as we attempt to create our first memorable and magical New Year’s Eve party in London.
Rita Monteiro will be hosting from Sambatralia in the Big Top Tent in the EGG Garden with DJs Limão, D.Vyzor from Guanabara, Human Factor from Sunrize Recordings & Ben Samba from the World Percussion Sessions, also a Live band Roda de Coco will be on percussions with genuine authentic fully costumed up Brazilian dancers, visuals will be supplied by VJ O Cangaceiro!
Size Doesn’t Matter DJs Mr Shiver, J1200 & Simon Kurrage will then take over the decks at 3am with their new Flashlight brand playing an eclectic mix of Grooves to make you move covering all genres of House, Funk, Disco, Old Skool & 80’s.
Steve Smart (Kiss FM) will be joined in the EGG Terrace by our abstract favourites Lee Dagger aka Bimbo Jones from Tommy Boy Records, Femi B from Peppermint Jam, Positiva & Pacha Records and Nippa Downey who is part of the Audio Pimps. Alongside the Funkenism & Frisky DJs.
Shane Watcha from Zombies Ate My Brain will be joined in the EGG Basement by Temba & Wet Yourself DJs including Husley & Gunz (Live), Cormac & Peter Pixzel. Alongside Stathis Lazarides & Betoko from Rhythematic. Last but not least joining these fantastic Egg residents will be Rich NXT from Sports Rave & Dlate & Harry from Snap, Crackle & Pop.
Live Tech Rebels will hosting the Egg Loft with their Excuse The Mess favourites including Russel Caten from Neon, Nick Maleedy from Pulp Sessions, Jasmine Childs from Dice, Sahin Meyer & Cleb M.
Sick On The Dancefloor, Sinners, Minimal, Religion, Cresendo & Shameful host the Eggs new sister venue the Apothecary.
There will be an after-party at Egg as always on NYD from 6am-2pm Abstract Afters 2009– “All roads Lead To Egg”This is a morning event (e.g. starts early – 6am -2pm)
