Good Room BK
Throughout the ’90s, Mood II Swing made fantastic music with incredible consistency. Few acts could compete with them at their best. Lem Springsteen and John Ciafone released both originals and remixes for the likes of Kim English and Fonda Rae. Steeped in the New York and New Jersey house and hip-hop scenes, and closely mentored by Masters At Work’s “Little” Louie Vega, Mood II Swing’s sound mirrors the tougher Masters At Work and Kerri Chandler dubs of the era – that Shelter-style euphoria of gospel garage – but with a uniquely percussive syncopation to the groove. It’s that groove which simultaneously built them a big underground fanbase in the UK and helped lay the rhythmic foundations for UK garage which was hugely influential to artists like Armand Van Helden and Todd Edwards.
They will be making their Good Room debut at the Dancing Room Only & Forward Disco party where they will be joined by Rissa Garcia, Sean Cormac & Chili Davis and The Wig on 12.30.
