MIGUEL RODRIGUEZ (Sculptor)
His vision is one of grandeur where themes of socio-political commentary, mortality and emotional drama are woven into iconic imagery that express an innate sense of populism and vernacular aesthetic. His visual inspiration comes from the movies and television of my childhood.
When exhibiting his work a consorted effort is made to create a space that allows for a “theatrical” exaltation of a given metaphor or overarching theme. Essentially, he is creating a stage for the drama inherent in his sculptures to play out.
