During Bambaataa’s early years, he was a founding member of the Bronx River Projects-area street gang, The Savage Seven. Due to the explosive growth of the gang, it later became known as the Black Spades, and he rose to the position of Division Leader. After a life-changing visit to Africa, he changed his name to Afrika Bambaataa Aasim. Bambaataa was influenced by the depiction of the Zulu warriors attacking British troops at Rorke’s Drift in the Michael Caine film Zulu.
After the visit, Bambaataa decided to use his leadership to turn those involved in the gang life into something more positive to the community. This began the development of The Organization, which soon later became known as the Zulu Nation, a group of racially and politically aware rappers, B-boys, graffiti artists and other people involved in hip hop culture that gained fame in the early eighties to mid nineties.

2007… The legacy continues. TONY TOUCH aka Tony Toca continues to be a force to be reckoned with. TONY TOUCH, an icon in Hip-Hop and in the Urban Hispanic genre plus seasoned player in the game, is a true innovator and has revolutionized the DJ game over and over. From his legendary mixtapes, to his skills on the 1’s and 2’s, to becoming Hip-Hop’s most recognized DJ. This C.E.O/Artist/ Producer, is now currently working on his eighth commercial release titled “The PieceMaker 3 …The Return of the 50 Mc’s” and is expected to make history once again.
Host DJ Hektek
Up and coming underground Hip Hop DJ / Producer of Puerto Rican desent from The Bronx, New York took interest in HipHop Culture growing up in the 1980’s witnessing street park jams in his neiborhood and Bronx River Projects. 1992 Hektek got his first set of DJ equipment and started out playing music at parties. 1993 getting hired to play music for parties of all occations threwout the New York Tri-State area.
