The Freche Früchte Summer Sessions come to a close with an extra special line-up at Duice on Friday 3rd September featuring special guests, Rob Small (Muzik X Press/Beef Records/Soulman Music/Cubism) and Kyle Marshall (Cubism) with support, as ever, from the Freche Früchte Resident DJs.
The event starts at 8pm and entry is FREE for this event.
While this is the last of our Summer Sessions, we will be continuing our parties throu…ghout the autumn and winter at Duice on the first Friday of the month, so stay tuned for more details 🙂
ROB SMALL – MUZIK X PRESS/BEEF RECORDS/SOULMAN MUSIC/CUBISM
After recently being hailed as one of the brightest young talents to emerge from the UK’s House/Techno scene, Rob’s tracks have managed to top download charts and destroy clubs & festivals the world over. Due to his hard work and dedication he has secured bookings around Europe, alongside the industries heavyweights, the most recent being Sasha.
At 19 years old Rob Started his own night, called ‘Friction’, which was held at one of the UK’s most infamous, underground club’s, called ‘The Mint Club’. It was at this night where he showcased not only his own talent, but some of the finest talent to come from the North of England, some of which have gone to play for massive event’s, including numerous ‘Cocoon’ night’s in Leeds.
At 22 Rob was Featured in the U.K’s underground Music Magazine called ‘Traffic’, in which he was featured for his efforts with Dj’ing & Music Production, and over the past 6 years Rob has played all over the world, alongside names such as Damian Schwartz, Matthias Tanzmann, Jamie Jones, Robert Dietz, Tim Sheridan, Mike Monday, King Roc, K-Klass, Sarah Main, Steve Mac just to name a few, with the latest accomplishment of warming up for the legendary Sasha at the Mint Club in Leeds, in July 2010.
In 2008, Rob became the A&R of one of The North’s most vibrant and original Label’s, ‘Breakoutaudio’. A Label that has accomplished more in 18 month’s than most label’s do in a decade – having a string of exciting releases from Paul Woolford, Audiojack, Deepchild, Julien Chaptal, Emerson Todd, Pier Bucci, Mistress De Funk, and Deadset, plus gaining support from the industries biggest & best, and hosting Label parties across the world in some of the best venue’s, including ‘La Terrazza’ in Barcelona, & ‘Back To Basics’ in the U.K, and events in 2010 at the WMC in Miami.
Rob has released, and is releasing his original material on labels across the world, such as Soulman Music, Muzik X Press, Cubism, Evasive Records, BEEF Records, Blockhead Records (heavily supported by Joey Youngman), Electronic Petz, Breakoutaudio, as well as becoming a prolific remixer on countless other imprints. He has managed to gain heavy support and recognition from the likes of Nick Warren, Luciano, Laurent Garnier, Jamie Anderson, Tom Budden, X-Press 2, AudioJack (2020 Vision), Nils Nurnberg (Dessous Recordings), Motorcitysoul (Cocoon), Carlo Lio (Rawthentic), Jet Project (Viva Music).
So far, 2010 has seen his music featured twice on Ministry of Sound radio in just under 6 months, as well as his Deep House hit ‘Alto’ on Soulman Music storming it’s way to number 5 in the Beatport top 100 Deep House Chart, and his Techno orientated ‘Sumo’ on Muzik X Press records hitting number 21 on the Beatport top 100 Progressive Chart, just 4 days after it’s initial release. His multi-talented production methods have seen him build up an array of material, which has devastated Festivals, Clubs & Warehouses the world over.

KYLE MARSHALL – CUBISM
After throwing a string of successful parties at the Leeds University’s super-club ‘Stylus’ back in 2005, Kyle is no stranger to the scene.
He has now turned his hand to production, and his debut release ‘Behemoth’ has been snapped up by the London based underground imprint ‘Cubism’ – run by Tony Thomas and Mark Gwinnett.
A long term friend of Rob, and future collaborating artist – great things are to be expected for Kyle throughout his career.
