There’s another essential night of house planned on Thursday the 15th as Dance.Here.Now welcomes Honey Dijon, Tedd Patterson and Nita. Tedd, our Vibal resident, is widely regarded as a DJ’s DJ with admirers as varied as Tom Stephan, Frankie Knuckles and Larry Tee. “Back in the day Tedd showed us all how to play a bit of everything and make it work together in one night, just as Larry Levan used to play ALL dance music, not just the deep soulful stuff,” says Tee, the electroclash mastermind. “It’s his embrace of mixing electronic elements into the deep-house sound that has really made him a true innovator.” Also on the bill for the evening is Nita, a trained percussionist, jazz singer and dancer that leapt into New York’s booming nightlife scene in the 90s. “DJ Nita demonstrates his artistic ear with mixing acrobatics that are seamless and spectacular by the exactitude that it requires to pull off any and every one of his crazy sonic mixologist cocktails.” This is going to be fun…
