This time round our special guest Kaidi ‘Agent K’ Tatham takes time away from his keyboards and studio to deliver one of his special unique DJ sets of Broken Beat, Boogie and Jazz Funk.

Catering for the music connoisseur in you that likes their house music cut deep but unpretentious and their grooves to bounce hard with some advanced future soul electronica, broken beat and classic boogie tunes ‘Frequencies’ satisfies its loyal attendees with the right musical balance of musical delights.

With Kaidi Tatham’s fresh album project ‘Silhouette Brown’ currently making a big impression on the underground – we are proud to have him return to fold for this Broadcite gig in collaboration with Talking Music Productions.

Aside from his current project and talk of new productions releases on the cards for Jazz Re:Freshed camp along with a follow up to his ‘In Search Of Hope’ Japanese album expected, the DKD artist has long been considered ahead of his time among many of his contemporaries. Once cited as a key player in the West London-based development called broken beat, multi-instrumentalist and producer Kaidi Tatham has had a hand in a number of recording projects since the early ’90s, in addition to releasing material of his own under his birth name and as Agent K. During the ’90s, Tatham was an associate of Fela Kuti and Roy Ayers, and he was a member of Ninja Tune hip-hop-and-electronica group the Herbaliser. The 2000s saw Tatham completely immersed in West London’s music community; he contributed his flute, keyboard, and percussion skills to several recordings — including 4hero’s Creating Patterns album and Seiji’s Homecookin’ work, just to name two. Soon enough, Tatham began releasing solo productions for Laws of Motion; 2002’s full-length Feed the Cat, credited to Agent K, and was immediately viewed as one of the most accomplished broken beat albums to date. Along with Orin ‘Afronaught’ Walters and Alex Phountzi, Tatham has also recorded as Neon Phusion.

Lynda Phoenix is a respected name within the house scene. She plays for the biggest power-brands in the dance industry, Ministry of Sound, Azuli, The Gallery, Dusted, Barcardi and the ‘Masters at Work Tour’ to name but a few. Lynda is currently touring for the world renowned ‘Ministry of Sound’ headlining in Bangladesh, Russia and Liverpool.

LAZERKRU formed some time in 2000AD. The musical background of the two founders [C]artel[3i]-&-[Exp]ression[S] is a prevalent one, that spans cultures with afro-centric music at its core… Their premise was the utilisation of Lazer-beams in-syncrony with future Jazz music at the yester-year Co-op. Llazer-Kru Music was founded by Cartel3i: This collaboration unit has now embarked upon on a one-way mission. The ‘Firecracker’ EP is their debut and receiving much love from select DJs right now.

Set aside your diary date for Friday 30th July, for the one and only quintessential underground event; a guaranteed night of revelry a sizzling, salacious summer soiree that is `Frequencies`.
