After developing what has become the quintessential event for artists to present their latest offerings through “The Experience”, Dedry Jones of the Music Experience now presents Music Experience – The Magazine.
Dedry Jones’ Music Experience – The Magazine is a bi-monthly entertainment magazine that debuts on May 15, 2010. The magazine features articles, interviews, CD reviews and more for an expansive demographic. The premiere issue features an article on Toni Braxton along with a column by noted R&B recording artists, Kindred the Family Soul. Noted Chicago based author Isaac Perry is also included in the premiere issue with an excerpt from his critically acclaimed novel, “All Falls Down”. For this debut issue, editor-in-chief Dedry Jones is interviewed by Preston Green, Director of Urban Sales for WMG/WEA Distribution.

The magazine is a free publication that will give consumers a look at many different areas of the entertainment industry. The second issue has been green lit for a cover story on recording artist, actress, Broadway star and American Idol, Fantasia. Kindred the Family Soul will return with their column along with Robert “Scoop” Jackson (former editor of XXL and Slam magazines) who becomes the featured writer for the opinion page, “The Last Word”. The sophomore issue will include a couple of new additions that will amaze and educate.

Dedry Jones states, “this magazine was a dream of mine for quite some time. I originally wanted to have it published for my 20th Anniversary but so many things were going on at that time that I couldn’t make it happen. But I made it for my 21st anniversary and I am very happy with how everything turned out.”

Managing Editor, Marcus Ragland adds, “We intend to give readers a look at businesses and artists that they may be unaware of and also give them a plethora of information about the arts in general. Our focus will be music but all aspects of the arts will be explored on a local and national level.”

Music Experience – The Magazine continues the Music Experience brand that features The Music Experience music retail outlet, The Experience with Dedry Jones event, The Music Experience Concert Series and Bronzeville Nights.

About The Experience
The Experience is a series of consumer events that allows fans to enjoy an up close and personal conversation with an artist who is interviewed about his/her career and latest musical release. The interviews are typically followed by an intimate performance and autograph session.
Each fan attending The Experience receives a copy of the participating artist’s latest release, which is included in the cost of the ticket price. The Experience has included guest artists such as John Legend, Patti Labelle, Brian McKnight, Chaka Khan, Donna Summer, Ashford and Simpson, Kirk Franklin, Natalie Cole and Maxwell.
