SNATCH @ MUSE
Dave Cortex & Lael’s Residency kick-off!
Starting tonight, Wasington DC-based DJs Dave Cortex & Lael will be hosting one Friday of Snatch @ Muse each month alongside District Ignition! Please join us for a night of great music, great vibes, friendly faces and strong drinks 😉
Lineup:
DAVE CORTEX
(Sweet Cherry Music | Nellie Recordings | Silk Royal Records – DC)
www.davecortex.com/
DJing for over 10 years, Dave initially made his mark on DC nightlife in the early 2000’s by winning several DJ contests and spinning memorable sets at legendary parties such as Buzz @ Nation. More recently, Dave has received international recognition from his original productions and remixes, with support coming from top DJs like Dirty Vegas, Tom Novy, Jaytech and many others. His tunes have have been charted by publications like DJ Mag and Ibiza Voice, and heard on the UK’s KISS FM and many other stations throughout the globe. His signature style of progressive, filtered, and funky house appeals to listeners from across the house music spectrum and always gets the crowd moving!
LAEL
(Washington DC)
www.laelbellotti.com/
With only 2 years of DJing and production experience under his belt, Lael has nonetheless already began to make a major mark on DC with his unique brand of progressive house and trance. Over the past year he’s DJ’ed increasingly impressive events, culminating with a recent closing set for BT at Ibiza Nightclub. On top of that, Lael has been busy studying the art of production from good friend Dave Cortex, and the quality of his tracks is quickly becoming apparent. Without even a release out yet, Lael has already gained the support of Armada’s Myon & Shane 54 just from an unfinished tune – this is one up-and-comer to keep your eye on.
Opening set by:
LJ MTX
( InStereo | District Ignition | Metronix Recordings – DC)
www.ljmtx.com
Recently voted DC’s #3 DJ by Washington City Paper LJ MTX is one of the biggest things going on in DC right now. LJ MTX landed in the Electronic Dance Music scene in late 2007 and made an immediate impact felt within the nether regions of many people across the world. Shortly after debuting his label, Metronix Recordings, on the world’s leading Electronic Dance Music store in January 2008 his third release catapulted its way into Beatport’s Top 100 Electro Chart. When “Saddle Up” reached its peak at #43, his collaboration with Mike Cortez and Poldee (Poland) on “Behind the Decks (feat. LJ MTX)” held its own next to it within the Top 50. Since then LJ MTX and Ciconte (aka The Octopus “We Crush Shit”) have built Metronix Recordings into a respected and reputable name with support from Armada, Black Hole Recordings, Perfecto, Plasma.Digital, InStereo and more.
