Description
On April 20th 2010, Just over a month since undergoing surgery following a heart attack, Gang Starr MC Guru died at age 43.
According to a statement, Guru died of cancer-related causes on Monday after a long fight with the disease.
We at jazz re:freshed thought it only fitting to do something to show our respects..
we are lucky enough to have Richard Spaven, (Guru’s drummer) to put together a band that will be playing some of his classics and music from his experimental fusion between Hip-Hop and Jazz music project, jazzmatazz.
joining Richard on the night will also be Noreen Stewart – Vocalist on the last jazzmatazz tour & guest MC’s vibing and showing respect to the monotone master..

all money collected will be going to leukaemia & lymphoma research charity.
