Native Instruments and Pioneer Announce Official CDJ-2000 Support in TRAKTOR PRO
Berlin, March 26th, 2010 – Native Instruments and Pioneer today announced that TRAKTOR PRO now officially provides market-leading integration with the latest CDJ-2000 and CDJ-900 models, combing the advanced functionality of the software with the established workflow of the popular digital DJ player range.
In the latest TRAKTOR PRO and DUO 1.2.5 versions, all essential features of the CDJ-2000/-900 are utilized through zero-configuration Plug&Play technology. This allows DJs to control all corresponding features of the TRAKTOR software through the familiar CDJ layout without any further setup required, combining both products into a highly versatile performance setup with outstanding creative functionality and intuitive control.
When using the CDJ-2000 and CDJ-900 with the latest TRAKTOR PRO and DUO version, all control and audio functions of the hardware are conveniently pre-assigned, with the jog wheels and faders supported through the CDJs’ own low-latency high-resolution HID protocol and no separate audio interface required. Display and LED support as well as identical loop, cueing and needle drop functionality make sure that the features of the hardware transfer directly to the software. Due to its unique custom HID mapping functionality, TRAKTOR even allows DJs to freely adjust the control mapping for the new CDJ range to their personal needs.
“We are genuinely excited about the level of integration between Traktor and our new CDJ range”, says Jason Pook, Product Development Manager Pioneer DJ Europe. “To have the two most forward-thinking DJ systems link up in this way further increases the appeal of both platforms and gives DJs even more creative power.”
“Support for the new CDJ range has been high on our priority list from Day One”, says Tobias Gebauer, Product Manager of the DJ Division at Native Instruments. “We are confident that the combination of Traktor and the CDJ range provides a true cutting-edge digital DJ experience, and we will extend the level of integration even further in the future.”
