T.R.A.C dropped his BBE debut LP “The Network” Produced by Marc Mac earlier this year and while the dust hasn’t settled we gonna hit you with some nice remix pressure. Remixes coming from near and far; London, Canada, Switzerland, Denmark and the good old US of A. Producers on remix duty include Buscrates 16-bit Ensemble, Chief, Lewis Parker, DJ Devestate, Terry Tester, Twelve Beats, Baron (Red Clay), DJ Denz, DJ Wally Pish Posh, Soundwave & Marc Mac.

After a short break away, Area38 Recordings is back with a resounding bang. The South London label has a new release lined up from talented DJ, promoter and producer Carlo Gambino who, with his raw, edgy and unpretentious production style, truly stands out amongst his peers. Already an established DJ and steadfast figure in the North East of England, Mr Gambino’s rise to fame as a producer is well underway. With a fast-growing discography, his original projects are being swiftly snapped up by labels such as 3am Recordings, Evasive Digital and 20:20 Soundsystem, and his remix skills are in high demand too.

Pot Kettle Black stands testament to Carlo’s unique style, with its no-fuss, gimmick free programming and arrangement. The remixes that follow couldn’t be more different from one another, each one not only differing in style, but also conveying its own distinct mood. Chemical Warfare’s ‘Bit On The Side’ remix is aimed squarely at the dancefloor with it’s boppin’ Old Skool electro feel, while Tomas Malo completely twists things up with a dark and brooding broken beat-ish offering. Lastly, completing this emotive journey is a remix from the renowned Dom Kane and Side Klick, with their textured electronic interpretation, thus rounding off a very assorted EP.

Petar Cvetkovic aka Lomatic last had a release on Evasive as one third of Serbian DJ and production collective Dirty Cover. In the meantime, he has been busy in the studio producing remix and original projects for labels Wiggle, Audiometric, Acilectro Blue, Low Flow and Soul Industries, both as himself and also under his Lomatic moniker. Now Petar makes a welcome return to the Evasive with a first-rate comeback offering, a brand new solo project entitled The Centar EP.

The Centar EP features two new original tracks, the deeply textured and hypnotic Freedom Square, and the slightly tougher but no less mesmeric Green Wreath. Croatian based DJ and producer Pille, who co-owns digital label Acilectro and is one half of Pille & Lushi, takes time out from his schedule to give his own slant on Freedom Square. After massaging the groove a little and stripping back the textures, he still retains the harmonics of the original to give us a finger-clicking dancefloor shuffler. Fellow Serbian The Sleeper, whose debut release for Evasive Deep recently hit the digital shelves, does a very dandy job with his remix of Green Wreath. As with all of his productions, his version of this track is a warm and emotive creeper, perfect for the early hours.
