Let’s make these kids smile!!
This event is going to be one of the biggest parties of the year. So be sure to mark it down!!! It is an all ages event, so bring the family. There will be alcohol served upstairs, and open to everybody on the main floor.
Within the first six days of this event being conceived, it has grown to enormous proportions. Because of the large show of support and willingness to participate we have chose…n to change locations. We also decided to extend the amount of time we will spend raising money.
We have moved this to a Saturday afternoon, so we can hold auction during the day. We also will be holding a “Merchandise Sale” with items donated by local artists (CD’s, Shirts, etc.) DJ Biggz has offered to be our “Auctioneer” for the day, and Dax Jordan will host and emcee the music for the evening.
We have put together a wonderful line-up of Portland’s best. Headlining the night is 2009 Portland Music Awards-Band of the Year, Acoustic Minds, local favorite Krista Herring and Christopher Worth of NIAYH. Rising star Donovan Edwards will set the stage for a great night of Music. Providing the mood for the daytime activities will be Fawn Destiny, and rounding out the evening with some dance music, will be the up and coming Dubstep guru, DJ Dark Acid.
Donations for the auction are encouraged, and we will be updating you on how you can participate. Also if you would like to help sponsor the event, or donate time to help put it together, you can post a comment and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
The families of Doernbecher Childrens Hospital, including the doctors, nurses, staff, parents, brothers, sisters, friends, and everyone involved in putting this event together would like to thank you for the support you have already shown to bring us to this point. We look forward to seeing you out for a great party and an even greater cause.
